The season is definitely picking up…
Johnny has had a pretty full on June, starting with a Top 10 place (5th Brit) home at the standard distance European Championships in Madrid on 3rd June.
Next up was the Eastbourne Standard Distance triathlon, on 11th June, which was a GB Age Group qualification race for the 2024 European Standard Distance triathlon, venue still to be announced. Johnny secured his qualification slot, so can once again represent GB.
His last race was on 24th June at the English Standard Distance Triathlon Championships, being held as part of the Dambuster Triathlon. Johnny rounded out the podium, finishing 3rd in theHome Nations Championship race.
Leo & Livvy have been racing the South Central Regional Series events.
Leo finished 3rd at the Fareham triathlon on 10th June and repeated his podium slot at Bowood Triathlon on 24th June, taking another 3rd place. Great consistency across pool based & open water triathlons.
Livvy also took a 3rd place at Fareham triathlon and finished 7th overall at Bowood triathlon. Bowood triathlon was the Inter-Regional Championships (IRC) selection race for the South Central Region and early indications are that Livvy was one of the first three South Central athletes home, so fingers crossed she will get her IRC call up.
After the first couple of Regional Series races, Leo & Livvy were both in their respective Top 3s, still awaiting the Series Results to be updated, to see where they currently are.
Sophia was using Blenheim Triathlon on 3rd June, as part of her preparation for the upcoming World Championships. Some great application & processes, as she won her age group by over three minutes.
Some serious effort & engagement with the athletes this month. Between them the athletes shown completed eight races, achieving five podiums, two Top 10 places and GB Qualification.
