Not the best start to this weekend as I got the TT bike down for it’s usual Friday test before a race only to discover that the bottom bracket had semi-seized & as I didn’t have any time to get it fixed before the race, I had to use the road bike instead. This was not the best scenario for one of the quickest courses in this area.
(Great to see that Bournemouth will be the English National Champs in 2022!)
My splits for 2021 are as follows:
Swim – 28:11; T1 – 1:43; Bike – 1:06:53; T2 – 1:26; Run – 48:06; Overall time – 2:26:21
Overall position – 44th out of 159 & 2nd in my age group
